You supposed to check the level between 35C - 45C, checking it over 45C the fluid is too hot to get an accurate flow.

Is there any way put the original lock on a new glovebox so its not broken and you can lock and unlock it with your key? Also the aux cord.

Did you use same part for both? Mine on the left side is cracked, looks like one is a 45° and one is a 90°. Be awesome if they can both go with same part.

when I turn it clockwise to remove the screw, it keeps spinning, so unable to pull it out. The screw is not going far up enough enough to pull it out. Is there a remedy? thanks

Omg thankfully I have vcds, my beetle wouldn’t start Tuesday afternoon 16/4/24, it was doing exactly the same symptom. I have the battery charging at the moment as I flattened it using starter motor to get it on to my driveway. I’m going to try this procedure. I’ll let you know. 2003 yellow beetle 1.9 pd tdi “Brian”

I have a 2012 Beetle and I have been having problems with the trunk since I bought it used 4 years ago. Also the door locks have been a serious issue too.I love the car , but these problems are a real pain . get some better engineers VW!
